# Public display of suspended users?

Is there a way to **avoid** displaying publicly that a user has been suspended or blocked? Is there a particular reason why this information is always shown publicly?

There is no site setting, the main reasoning for showing it is the [Streisand Effect](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streisand_effect)

If you insist on hiding it I guess you can go the CSS route, but its likely to cause unintended consequences.

Thx for the response. I guess the best thing to do may be to bring users back to a trust level of 0 in many cases, and suspend in extreme situations.

I suppose an option to not show it on the usercard, require a profile click instead is reasonable.
