# Put a link to mute user on user page

If you want to mute a user, you have to go to your settings and find your way to the mute user thing and then remember the user’s name to type it in. I think it would be nice if when you visited a user’s page there was an option to mute that user and, if the user is muted, a way to un-mute the user right there as well.
It might also be nice to be able to mute/unmute topics from a topic page as well.

I am super uneasy about making it “too easy” to mute users. Technically you could just do it from the usercard and beetlejuice all of their posts into tiny, but its not really something I want to be too easy.

Hmm. Well, I think I get it. Maybe a “mute this user for X days”, then.
