# Question - Is there a way to set trust levels during user migration?

I am currently assisting in a migration from vbulletin to Discourse. We have a very long history on the other forum and are planning on migrating users and posts. We also have quite a few trust levels. We would prefer to perform a mapping of the specific levels so that when our users initially login to Discourse they do not start at level 0.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Several importers modify trust levels. You can grep the importer directory for something like ‘tl2’ to find some examples. You can also create groups.

Thanks! We’re in the process of identifying groups and likely will be leveraging them more than trust levels.
