# Question on using Open-Source version of Discourse

Hi
I am making a website named Dwe.
It’s a Designing forum that designs things for free and we are also uploading are website’s source code on Github.
But we want to show ads on our Home, about, Contact pages.
So are we eligible to use discourse for free.

Discourse, the software, is 100% free and open source. There are no conditions on using it. Ads are perfectly fine. See [GitHub](https://github.com/discourse/discourse/blob/master/docs/INSTALL-cloud.md) for install instructions. Note that while the software is free, you still need a server to install it on. If you don’t have one handy, there will be a fee associated with the VPS provider you choose.
