This is nitpicking; when I visited the settings, I can suggest you to use identifier. This way, it could display the label instead of “item x”./

One shy question. How should we deal with different languages?
Right now this is just an academic issue for me, because I have only finns in Finnish forum, and nowadays practically every device uses locales by given location, but if the team get translation system in working phase, it can change. Perhaps.

If you leave empty the label field in profile_menu_preference_items setting, the default translation key of the menu will be used 
based on the value selected in the page dropdown.

It adds a new setting enabled_user_profile_dropdown uncheck it will disable the menu on profile page.
