# Quote Boost support?

Awhile ago Mastodon added support for quoting boosts. I’ve looked around in the actor settings and didn’t see anything to enable it? Is there support for this and did I just miss it?

Here’s a screenshot of one of the posts from discourse in mastodon showing that the `Quote` option is disabled.

@ice.d boosting is a mastodon specific term, within that context it’s fairly common vernacular 🙂

Same as re-tweet. Sharing inside federated world, if you will.

The issue is that forum actors don’t allow quoting and/or forum as an instance has disabled it.
