with no params results in malformed quote blocks

Notice quote is missing top padding! What it should look like:

Using Markdown blockquote

or

using HTML blockquote
This is a [ quote ] block

Here is another [ quote ] block
For additional fun: 4 space indented code blocks don’t work on the above due to some vagaries of our parsing. But that’s a different bug…

Looking more closely this might be purely a CSS styling issue:

<aside class="quote"><blockquote><p>This is a quote block</p></blockquote></aside>

Yeah, blockquote has suppressed margin-top inside aside.quote. It’s expecting quote with the name:

<aside class="quote">
<div class="title"><div class="quote-controls"></div>name said:</div>
<blockquote><p>quote</p>
</blockquote>
</aside>

OK fix seems to be:

 • don’t mess with default <blockquote> top and bottom margins inside an <aside>

 • have the <div> element in the custom quote “absorb” the <blockquote> margin underneath it with a negative value no padding underneath.
