Quoting does only work on second tap

It’s been like this for a while now; I don’t remember when it started. At first, I thought I might have missed the button, then I thought clicking the icon might not work, and I accidentally clicked the icon because that changed its color. But I paid more attention to this, and still, I need 2 taps for quoting.

This is my Galaxy Tab S9 FE with Firefox 155.0. The problem is that when I logged in today, quoting worked fine. But now it doesn’t. Reloading sometimes fixes this, but usually, it does not. So it’s probably unrelated.

Please let me know if I can help tracking this down

this was an issue before, but thought it was fixed?

today, it’s working on my Pixel and Meta.

have you tried the prior workaround: toggle the reactions selector first? (no need to press on a reaction)

I thought that was for not being able to select in the first place?

Yes that’s true.

I wonder if it’s related though?

PS I can sometimes still repro the original problem.

This is my experience as well - I haven’t been able to pinpoint what makes it happen.

Coincidentally it happened while reading this topic, so I recorded my screen. Thanks for the reaction tip - previously I’d been closing and restarting the PWA.

I’m on a Samsung Galaxy s26 Ultra with Chrome.
