It is possible. You can also choose a reaction at the first post of this topic. Do you use any plugins that interfere with liking first posts, such as topic voting?

Yes I use Topic Voting. The visitors can react with emojis only from the first reply but not from the 1 post of a topic.

[image] Discourse Topic Voting Plugin :information_source: In the categories where the Voting plugin is activated, Likes are automatically deactivated. Some sites may want to use both functions at the same time to like replies, see how to re-enable Likes .

From what I see, the CSS used by Voting plugin to hide the like button should not affect the Reactions plugin. The like button HTML is replaced and different.
