# Recommended Discourse CentOS 7.7 Install Docs?

Hey Discourse team,
Just wondering if you guys approve of this installation method on a CentOS 7.7 server. I’d love any documentation that you guys think may be better. Thanks!

This would look good to me about Jun 22, 2015 at 3:37 pm EST, but it was pretty outdated a couple months after that.
If you’re going to wait 4 years to update it, you’d be providing better support by deleting that and linking to the [official install](https://meta.discourse.org/t/142537?silent=true) docs.

I think it’s wiser to use the recommended installation guide [here](https://github.com/discourse/discourse/blob/master/docs/INSTALL.md) changing the obvious differences between Ubuntu and CentOS, `apt` for `yum` for example.
