# Recommended way to close and archive a Discourse forum itself?

So far this thread covers archiving other forums to start a Discourse forum, but is there a currently-recommended way to close and archive a Discourse forum itself? I have a Discourse forum that ideally I’d like to convert from a live forum that’s currently running on a Amazon instance, to a read-only HTML version that I can just have as pages on my basic web hosting.
Would HTTrack do the trick for Discourse?

That will be considerably tougher. You can of course make it read only right now via Admin, Backups.
We have talked about having a crawler-like read only HTML published version of a Discourse site but haven’t built that yet.
