Recovered post is auto-deleted by system

(Pad Pors) #1

what happened?

someone has deleted his post.
admins recovered the post (before 24 hours).
then the “system” user deleted the post again!

no matter how many times recovery is done, system is deleting the post automatically. here is a snapshot showing two of the system actions:

p.s.: there is no errors in log.

Did you check sidekiq? maybe there is some sort of job scheduled to delete it?

(Pad Pors) #3

how should I check it?

(Bhanu Sharma) #4

When logged in as an admin,

[Your Discourse domain]/sidekiq

Check the scheduled tab

well there seems to be lots of automated jobs, e.g. Jobs::DestroyOldDeletionStubs .

anyway such a job shouldn’t exist there, as admins un-delete the post by hand (so it’s not and old deleteion or something). is it so?

This can only be defined by someone from discourse team. I still do not know much about how the core functions… Perhaps, let’s wait? It’ll be interesting to know though.

sorry to bump this up, but we still can’t recover deleted posts by admin: they get auto-deleted 1 hour after recovery. can it be tuned by rate-limits in admin panel or some other settings?
