# Reddit new algorithm

Not sure if this is a good place for it but just an idea. Reddit is working on a new algorithm that tracks what you are not reading and when you refresh the home page or our “latest” it gives you new content you haven’t seen.

Is this even possible via a plugin or something?

That is basically how the “suggested topics” at the bottom of each topic works.. try it. It favors new topics, and unread things that you have previously read for a while / posted in (are tracking).
