It really does seem like trying to use discourse as something other than a forum, so certainly plug-in material at best.

But not the craziest idea to use discourse for something other than it was originally intended… It [is being done already](https://meta.discourse.org/t/blogging-platforms-ghost-and-discourse/13534/4), after all.
