I accidently clicked disable AI powered search on my main account, I can’t seem to find a way to reenable this. Is it possible?
Thanks
The discussion centers around a user, shuao23, being unable to reenable AI-powered search discoveries after accidentally disabling it. Falco points out the setting should be available at /my/preferences/ai, and questions if it’s a regression, tagging keegan. Keegan confirms the feature is currently disabled on Meta Discourse and explains that it’s still visible locally, providing a screenshot. shuao23 further clarifies that the setting is missing entirely on their self-hosted instance (see screenshot). Finally, keegan acknowledges a bug and shares a link to the fix (https://github.com/discourse/discourse-ai/pull/1452).
Hmm, this should show under Discourse Meta - The Official Support Forum for Discourse. Is this a regression @keegan ?
I don’t think so… Search discoveries is currently disabled on Meta which is why we can’t see the setting here.
I can still see it when I test it out locally…
@shuao23 If you the site has the feature enabled (i.e. SiteSetting.ai_bot_enabled = true and SiteSetting.ai_bot_discover_persona is set) it should be configurable for each user at: /my/preferences/ai by toggling
Enable search discoveries.
Ah yes, thanks for pointing that. There was actually a Contribute > Bug here, I just pushed a fix:
