# Rehosting a snapshot under another Discourse

Hello, I have a question about rehosting an old Discourse Forum.
A little background, I’m the custodian of an old open source community forum (i.e. I have a snapshot taken from Discourse, shortly before it was shut down). After some discussion, another open source community has stepped up about the possibility of hosting the forum under their own Discourse. Is there any easy way to handle this? What would be the best practice for the old communities personal information / passwords?
Any help/advice would be appreciated, as I am not a Discourse expert.

Interesting, thanks for the pointer. I’ll have to see what the person running the ‘new’ site is comfortable doing, as I’m merely holder of the old site at this point.
