Renaming Tag to Existing Tag Should Merge

Being able to merge tags would be easier than the bulk action dance.

I thought there is an option to merge tags.

Manage a tag

1. Go to the /tags page on your site.
2. Select the tag you would like to manage
3. Select the button to reveal options to rename, delete, and manage synonyms:

This feature made it into the latest beta release, so please upgrade and give it a try. Creating synonyms and merging tags is done in the same place. If you wanted to merge the “js” and “javascript” tags, and choose “javascript” as the base tag, then go to the javascript tag’s page (/tags/javascript).
