It’s much easier to use the mail receiver container. See [Configure direct-delivery incoming email for self-hosted sites](https://meta.discourse.org/t/configure-direct-delivery-incoming-email-for-self-hosted-sites/49487). Aside from being easier, it’s more reliable, more flexible, and doesn’t require polling, so messages are delivered faster.
