Responsive Adsense Tutorial?

#1

Are there example sites or an up-to-date tutorial on monetizing my site after i migrate (from SMF) to Discourse?

I saw this Discourse Meta from @zogstrip in 2013, but don’t know if there’s a more templated system yet since Adsense is so prevalent.

Thanks!

Right now, this is the only way to add adsense.

You can always write a plugin that injects ads in posts or something…
There should be a hook for it

Do others not have monetized forums? Mine is a community of people, the adsense covers the server costs which helps. Donations have never worked out evenly and the site won’t be paid.

Sure … I monetize a forum by using a paywall.

@leemy I’ve been working on my own fork of the adsense plugin if you want to take a look. I hope to expand it to be more of a general purpose advertising plugin. What other kinds of things do you need the plugin to do?

@cdesch cool will check it out. I think the solution needs to be a non-tech-savvy friendly plugin to allow responsive Adsense code to live in various parts of the template, e.g. top of pages, side skyscraper ads, after X replies or after all posts, etc. Does the responsiveness add a large hurdle for the google code?
