Restart hosted version? (and normal restart via admin)

Continuing the discussion from Update hosted version:

Personally, I’m not terribly concerned with being able to push the normal update timing on my hosted instance, but there are times when it’d be nice.

What I do need, especially for settings which require a restart to take effect, is both a way to restart our instance from the Admin panel, and ideally a message to indicate when a setting we change requires a restart.

Which settings need this in your experience? If they are frequently changed, then they need to update.

It’s happened only two or three times, but cost a good time of time & confusion each time.

and I’ll find the others before long… I ended up having to come here for support on the issue bc I thought I was doing it wrong, or the feature was broken.

Also, it’s not about how frequently the change, it’s about knowing when we need to restart.

The main thing is to get that documented in the copy for the setting for sure.
