# Retweet trusted users' tweets based on hashtag

When I first saw @Sam’s [Discourse Security Guide](http://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-security-guide/8724) my first thought was “so handy! has the internets been informed?”
Since it’s only on Sam’s Twitter feed and not the Discourse one, the answer was “only sort of”.

I got to wondering how these sort of important news could be consolidated a bit more effectively. I managed to dig up an [IFTTT recipe](https://ifttt.com/recipes/10437) of what I was trying to achieve, but unfortunately it’s outdated and I was unsuccessful at updating it.
Sooo, this ended up becoming more needy than helpful, but if someone can figure out a simple method for automatic retweeting of a specific user’s specific hashtag, twitter/discourse would have _all the news_.
(Alternatively you could use [http://grouptweet.com/](http://grouptweet.com/), but it’s expensive)

We can probably just make sure stuff like that goes out in [the official @discourse twitter](https://twitter.com/discourse).
This is rare enough that there is no need for a grandiose “system”, just reminders by actual humans.

Just in case someone is interested in this kind of functionality, there’s a service called Roundteam that does exactly what I was looking for. Free to use if you agree to automatically tweet a shoutout to the service every 50 tweets it does for you.
