# Ritzy RTE Alternate Editor Compatibility?

**WYSIWYG Rich Text Editor as a Discourse Plugin?**
Uses custom editor surface and layout engine.
Modeled on Google Docs and includes collaborative editing support built-in from the ground up.

**PS:** I want to add a roles-based, admin controlled feature, that reveals or hides RTE functions based on utility. In other words, pretty fonts, colors, and what have you, may be available for some creative activities, while remaining clear and uncluttered.for long-form chat for instance.

I was just guessing on what category to fit it in.
Editor behavior is a Discourse feature.
Ritzy is an editor that I want to make into a Discourse Plugin.
I need comments on both its desirability as an easy to try and remove if wanted plugin and as well as any technical problems anyone more knowledgeable and experienced may see.
I’m also not interested in creating any projects that aren’t in support of the established development course. Suggestion on where and how to relocate?
