# 在Discourse同一台机器上运行其他网站

一个问题：  
如果我想在同一台独立服务器上运行 Discourse 以及其他网站，是否必须使用套接字模板（在 conf 文件中使用 nginx.http.sock）？  
我们最近迁移了服务器，最终使用了端口 8080 和 Nginx 作为反向代理，但没有使用套接字模板。由于它运行正常，而且我看不出使用该方法的意义，所以我想知道是否有其他方法。
