# Running your own advertisements in discourse

I have installed the Advertising plugin but realised it only allows you to run ads like google ads. I want to run ads in my forum but I want them to be ads that I create myself and charge a client for the advertising space.
I am not sure how I could go about this. I would want to run ads on the main dashboard and also in certain categories. The ads would all be different in the different categories.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You actually can do this with the Advertissing plugin. It’s called House Ads:

Thank you very much. I have just started playing around with it this morning.
Do you happen to know how I can get the file path for my uploaded images, to put in the HTML. I can’t work out how to find the path for it.

It’s ok I figured it out. Just click on the uploaded image in the component and it will open in a new window and I could cut and paste it from there. It is working! 🙂
Now I just need to figure out how to centre the image and get it to display different ads in different categories.
