# Safe to delete postgres\_data\_old?

Running low on disk space, discovered 5.5Gb postgres\_data\_old in /var/discourse/shared/standalone. File dates at least a few weeks old.
See it referenced in a few places here, guessing it’s part of a backup that’s no longer needed. Is it safe to delete?

Sure, its fine, if the upgrade from pg 9.3 to 9.5 all went well you can delete that folder.
