# Search username with and without @ should both show user

I’d find it helpful if the matching users would show up in the search box when typing `@username`. But right now, that is not the case.

If I search for `codinghorror`, I see users that match:

But if I search for `@codinghorror`, I do not:

This seems like a nice little change @j.jaffeux can you add this to your list.

Keep it tightly scoped to … “when doing user or group search in the search controller alway strip the first leading @ from the term”. But leave the topic/category alone.
