# Select/long press doesn’t do anything in chat on androids

My Android users have reported that they are unable to send reactions or reply within the chat, as tapping does not open the modal. Additionally, they are unable to select text. I advised them to try [safe mode](https://meta.discourse.org/t/53504?silent=true) and a test theme, that is without any components, but these didn’t help.
Unfortunately, I can’t test the issue, as I don`t own an Android phone.
