# Selecting text not working well on Mac Safari

Anyone noticed this behavior in the attached movie? I’ve seen it for a couple weeks on Meta. Using the latest Mac OS with Safari. Text randomly deselects. But always when I hit reply, the selected text appears in the box.

( P.S. any reason on meta here I can’t upload .mov and have to upload .mp4? )

We previously had the same workaround for Chrome but I removed it since they fixed in in Chrome.  
Turns out, it was also useful for Safari…
