I have seen this implemented on many many sites, typical implementation is:

> Keep me logged in for 30 days
> 
> [LOGIN]

Not sure when we will get to this, but when we do this but when we eventually get to this we will probably require a site setting to enable this. There are complications around where to even show a checkbox like this if you have social logins enabled.
