# Set category background image based on user's selected theme

Our Discourse has a light theme and a dark theme. We have been experimenting with a category background image for a certain category but due to these two themes the image will always heavily degrade the reading experience on one or the other theme: Is there a way to change this category’s background image depending on the active theme the user has selected?
