# Set default for custom user-fields

Is there a way to set a default for a user-field? Effectively I want certain questions to default a certain way, allowing me to make a field required so both new and old users are prompted for it but that is pre-populated with something like NA so they can skip it easily without updating it if it doesn’t apply to them.
