# Set the top menu in the mobile view independently of the desktop view

Adding in my support for this as well (in addition to [this](https://meta.discourse.org/t/how-to-default-to-latest-on-mobile-and-categories-latest-on-desktop/55716/6) topic). We like the categories+latest view on the Desktop, but on mobile we really just want the topic list…
