# Setting a default group for new categories

I’d like new categories to belong to a group different than “everyone” by default when one is created.

I have a local Discourse setup used internally in my company that I’d like to share with partners but I need them to see only categories I need to expose and It would be good for a new category to belong by default to the group of all users from my company, so me and other ones creating categories can’t forget to set it.

Is this possible? I haven’t found it in the settings

I don’t think this exist yet, but anything is possible.

If you really want it, you can head over to #Marketplace and someone can develop it.
