# Setting Light Theme as Default

I would like to know how to set the light theme as default theme.

1. If I change the dark mode in my browser, My discourse should not change to dark mode, it should be in light theme itself.

How to achieve this ? It will be great help if someone could tell.

Hi @Pandiyan 🙂

Have you enabled the `default dark mode color scheme id`? That would allow a browser setting to flip a user’s theme into dark mode, even with no specific dark theme set on your site. If you reset that to ‘none’ it should stop it from working its dark magic.
