# Setup Trial with No DNS changes?

Is there a way I can set up a trial site without making DNS changes?
I am in marketing and want to test out the community concept before having to make a request of my IT department.

You can try on [https://try.discourse.org](https://try.discourse.org) if you just want to test out the usability.
If you want to try out the installation process, that will not be possible without some modifications to the installation process.

Sites hosted on our hosting can have a `*.trydiscourse.com` domain during the duration of your trial so you don’t have to use a custom domain. Once you’re ready to start the subscription, you’ll need to add a custom domain, however.
