# Should bug reports go in the bugs tag or on github?

So, basically “**if in doubt, report bugs [here](https://meta.discourse.org/c/bug)**” would be a fair assessment?

Also, are there any extra recommendations on how to report bugs? I feel like the category description is too short, as it is:

I could use some good bug reported examples. I fear the [top popular bugs](https://meta.discourse.org/c/bug/l/top/all) are not necessarily good representations on how to report, although it does give me the feeling that _anything goes_. 😛
