Probably not, because that theme overrides the default topic list. Whenever you have something that is already different from the default, it’s likely solutions shared for the default won’t work. This is the reason why it makes sense to tell people when you are asking for help.
I think you’d either need a fork of the theme which supports this, or you ask the author to add this (maybe optional, toggled with a setting).
