# Show location and custom user fields on user card

It’d be nice if there were an option to show custom user fields and location on the user card.
I’d go so far as to say it should be the default if they are filled out and the ‘show on public profile’ option is chosen.
@tobiaseigen, you had a similar request earlier:

I have done exactly this at my instance with a simple plugin. SSO fiils in employee location and position as custom fields and I use the outlet and some CSS to position it on my user-card.

I am fine to have this in core, if we want it default off we can suppress via CSS.

I guess so! Showing the values is very simple, the CSS is a bit tricky.

My users are asking for two profile fields to show under the icon (location, custom data)
This would be right under the icon next to posts.
Having this info on the user card would be almost as good. Is this rolling out anytime soon or more an ‘in the works’ deal?
