Show pinned messages at top of chat instead of in separate page

I want to pin a chat message to the top of the chat window so it is always visible even as the new messages appear and scroll down.

My use-case is that I created a chat channel to discuss a live-video so ideally the actual video remains visible as the chat scrolls below. Perhaps there are other ways to handle this, but pinning the chat message that has the embedded video seems like a good general solution.

A rich always-visible channel-description could accomplish the same thing.
