# Sidebar Theme Toggle

How does this work here on meta?

The above does not look like [Sidebar Color Palette Toggle](https://meta.discourse.org/t/sidebar-color-palette-toggle/373184) (which is marked as broken) so I’m assuming that’s not it.

I have created a custom theme with several palettes all in the about.json. All the palettes are user selectable. However, I do not see a separate paintbrush icon that gives me the palette names.

EDIT: I have also activated `Horizon` on my site, and when I make some of the palettes for Horizon user selectable, I _ **do see** _ the icon just as on [meta.discourse.org](http://meta.discourse.org).

The other thing that is puzzling is that the behaviour here on meta seems to be that when you pick one of those palettes in Horizon, it knows what the light and dark version should be.

I’m on 2026.5.0-latest.1 (87ead9f208)
