Site not viewable through stumbleupon.com iframe

I received hundreds of referral traffic from stumbleupon but noticed the time on site was 0.02 (when average is 2 minutes plus).

After investigating I saw someone added this page:

http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/1ygfz4/discuss.smalltoday.com/t/google-adwords-really-help-startups/4083/?_nospa=true

If you click the link above you see that my website does not show.

The user is below and added the page on 10 June.

http://www.stumbleupon.com/stumbler/bparks76

How can this be fixed so that my website shows when added to stumbleupon?

Discourse topics never appears properly on my Stumbleupon account

The error says

[Error] Refused to display ‘http://discuss.smalltoday.com/t/google-adwords-really-help-startups/4083’ in a frame because it set ‘X-Frame-Options’ to ‘SAMEORIGIN’.

That’s because by default, we don’t support embedding. You can whitelist some sites via the embeddable hosts site setting though

Thanks for this, but its not working. Ive taken these steps…

Admin > Settings > Embedding

Then at “embeddable host” Ive added

www.stumbleupon.com

But it still doesnt seem to show… Help.

The embeddable_host is only meant to support the paths that actually embed Discourse in other sites.

For security reasons we don’t allow others to put us in an IFRAME.

that’s an interesting case. i too find stumbleupon to be a very valuable traffic source and depending on the subject matter of a site a very viable social sharing platform. does this occur with other social sharing sites as well, that usually display pages with a social bar on top, maybe ow.ly or so, I am not sure… we need to investigate maybe stumbleupon does it in a way that could be better solved in another way? Just thinking out loud

I think there should be a way to make exceptions. Stumbleupon is a great source of traffic and its a shame to exclude it.

Is there a way it could be included?

Is there a way for StumbleUpon to link to sites without putting them in an <iframe>? If so, then that’s what I recommend.

StumbleUpon works by other people liking and sharing content. So its unlikely we can change the way people post and share on stumbleupon.
