# Slow or no start from Android homescreen

I love how well Discourse works on mobile devices. What I did of course was open it once and then “add to homescreen” so I have an icon on the phone’s home screen to open the forum I use most.
For quite some time now I have had the following problem: the forum would not load immediately, sometimes I need a few attempts of closing and opening again. Something must be off here.
What I have already tried:
- deactivated any custom code loaded in the theme that may slow down loading
- deactivated all theme components to rule out one of them being the culprit.
No dice.
What else could be causing the forum to not load/open?

I’m not an Android user so I’ve never experienced it myself, but I have heard that removing and re-adding it to the home screen will do the trick. So that might be worth a try.

It doesn’t do the trick unfortunately
