දිවයිනේ දැවැන්තම සාහිත්ය මංගල්යය ලෙසින් සැලකෙන කොළඹ ජාත්යන්තර පොත් ප්රදර්ශනය මෙවරත් සැප්තැම්බර් 15වනදා සිට 24වනදා දක්වා කොළඹ බණ්ඩාරනායක සම්මන්ත්රණ ශාලා පරිශ්රයේ දී පැවැත්වීමට කටයුතු යොදා තිබේ. (සිකුරාදා සහ සෙනසුරාදා යන දිනවල උදෑසන 9 සිට රාත්රි 10 දක්වා ප්රදර්ශනය විවෘතව තැබෙනවා.

Slugs can contain only plain old ascii, not characters from other character sets.
Google translate suggests the below, which could be in a slug.
divayinē dævæntama sāhitya maṁgalyaya lesin sælakena koḷam̆ba jātyantara pot pradarśanaya mevarat

This is sinhala unicode. if i launch my forum with this script 😉 my members will always use sinhala unicode..
then urls should have sinhala unicodes… if not google will not understand it ☹ bad for SEO

There is a site setting for this:
If you set it to `encoded`, slugs will contain non-ASCII characters.

**Note**
There was (is?) a infinite-redirect problem due to having non-ASCII characters in the topic slug. I don’t think this has been fixed yet.

Yep, **is**. The infinite-redirect issue is not been resolved. It is a [Ruby/Rails issue](https://meta.discourse.org/t/automatic-encoding-of-parsed-url-params/67232/27), so we won’t get it resolved until we move from Rails 4 to 5.
