Using gmail as your SMTP server for Discourse is a bad idea:

Doing so is against Google’s terms of service, and you will very quickly run into rate limits. Set up one of the recommended providers instead: https://github.com/discourse/discourse/blob/master/docs/INSTALL-email.md
