# Some DMs are not visible

Hello, on our Discourse site, when DMs are sent to some users, they do not appear in the pop-up section. When entering the DM box, they do not appear at the top of the inbox, and sometimes they do not even appear in the sent tab. To test whether it is related to theme components or customizations made, I tested with the default theme with no theme components activated, and the relevant messages still did not appear.

We are using the latest version of Discourse and I could not see any errors. What could be causing this problem?

Just to be sure as well, have you tested with plugins off? You can do this using [Safe Mode](https://meta.discourse.org/t/53504?silent=true)
