My users reported that some of them don’t see sidebar the way I have configured it. The chats are added to the sidebar when the user joins the channels. If you want to add them to their sidebar by default, you could add them automatically to the channels. ---

They are added to these channels, they even posted in them (I also have the chat button in the header, thats how they are accessing it at the moment. ---
