# Sort topics within category by topic title

Each category now has a sort order setting with ascending / descending.

However, there is no option to sort for **Original Post Title**. Besides **Created** , seems like that would be a key use case.

**Would be nice for categories that use naming or numbering conventions in the topic title, such as for documentation, policies, FAQs, calendars, changelogs, releases, etc.**

That is kind of a bizarre sort order. There is certainly no index on that field…

Ok. Wasn’t sure how the index worked.

Current workaround is to create a topic, manually add the additional topics in desired order with links, and unlist those additional topics if needed.

Could also change the timestamps.

Not a big deal if it’s not easily supported. Thanks.
