Spacing between avatar and colored background is too small

You normally won’t notice this unless you select a post (blueish background) or you see a post by a moderator (topic closed, etc.)

Anyway, might want to look at that spacing.

What is the problem ?

Well… isn’t that clear from the screenshot? The avatar and the colored block touch each other. Doesn’t look nice.

#4

Try this :
.topic-avatar {
padding-right: 10px;
}

Thanks, care to put that in a PR? Or shall I give it a try.

Tip: put three back tics (`) around your code to make it look nicer.
.topic-avatar {
padding-right:10px
}

becomes

.topic-avatar {
  padding-right: 10px;
}

Not need for PR you get it in admin > customize > css_html
padding 6 is good i think

.topic-avatar {
  padding-right: 6px;
}

Than I’ll make it a PR, cause I think it should be in core.

#8

if @sam agree this change , i’ll make a PR

I actually think the yellow bgcolor should be on the left as well. I don’t support adding extra space for this case, when staff color is exceedingly rare.

You mean it should be extended so it’s behind the avatar as well? Yeah, that would work. But then the blue selection background should be extended as well.
