# Sparkpost emails treated as spam

I changed to the sparkpost server, and now the emails stay as spam, the mailgun did not do, what can it be?

Will after some time the emails are no longer treated as spam?

Yes, for example to [www.mail-tester.com](http://www.mail-tester.com). Otherwise (assuming that you have your domain both spf and dkim verified) I’d say this is something for sparkpost support.

Experiencing the same issue. Mail-test gives me 10 of 10 but still no luck landing emails to @aol, @msn, @hotmail accounts.
I have the free plan with sparkpost + I paid for a dedicated IP. Hoping the issue will correct itself because I’ve tried it all.
I’m loosing users that can’t activate their accounts in the moment.

This usually means the IP is burned. Mail delivery relies heavily on the reputation of the IP the mail is coming from.

Oh wait you paid for a dedicated IP. Scratch that. You should follow up with sparkpost could be the sending IP does not have enough of a track record yet.
Could also be some providers just flat out blacklisting sparkpost. If you are paying for service, especially a dedicated IP, you should nag them about it!

Now in hotmail, live, outlook, the email is not classified as spam, just not gmail.

Do some research. As I already told you, those are all one provider, and that provider is notorious for blocking emails.

I was a little skeptical of Microsoft based email deliverability via sparkpost, even with the dedicated IP because the cost was so low ($20/m).
But since my last post, emails to aol and Microsoft recipients started landing in the inbox.
I had a pretty small scale, natural warm up period going on for 7 days with sparkpost and a dedicated ip.
Email settings on this site are set to daily digest, alert even if active and everything else is on the default setting. User growth is small and looks like the attached screenshot if anyone is interested.
I’ll be staying with sparkpost, good so far and very cost effective.
PS - Not sure if this matters for anyone but Ive found both sendgrid and sparkpost accounts without dedicated IPs to **always be on one blacklist or another**. It used to be better so this is kind of a bummer. Time to spend a little for email.
