[Bild] pfaffman: Sending to a mail test service may shed some light. Yes, for example to www.mail-tester.com . Otherwise (assuming that you have your domain both spf and dkim verified) I’d say this is something for sparkpost support.

This usually means the IP is burned. Mail delivery relies heavily on the reputation of the IP the mail is coming from.

Thanks @codinghorror (long time no see, would love to catch up sometime soon). I’ll try a few other providers with dedicated IPs and report back if I have any luck!

Now in hotmail, live, outlook, the email is not classified as spam, just not gmail.

Do some research. As I already told you, those are all one provider, and that provider is notorious for blocking emails.
